This Privacy Policy explains how Golav ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the Golav mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Account information (such as phone number, email, and profile name).
- Booking information (car type, service type, time slot, booking status, and payment method).
- Device and usage information (IP address, device identifiers, app diagnostics, and log data).
- Support communications when you contact us.
2. Location Data (Important)
Golav accesses device location data. This includes precise location (GPS) and location details you choose on the map (address, latitude, longitude).
We use location data to:
- Show your current position on the map and help you select a service location.
- Match customers with nearby cleaners and calculate distance-based results.
- Store service area details for cleaner onboarding and booking fulfillment.
- Display booking location details to the relevant customer and assigned cleaner.
Location is primarily collected while you are actively using the app to select a place, create a booking, or set a cleaner service area. We do not continuously track live location in the background for advertising purposes.
3. When Location Is Collected
- When you allow location permission in the app.
- When you tap "Use current location" or confirm a map location.
- When cleaners set or update their service area during onboarding.
4. How We Share Information
We may share data only as needed to provide the service:
- With the assigned cleaner and customer to fulfill a booking.
- With service providers (for example, Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure).
- With mapping/geocoding providers to render maps and resolve addresses.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for service operations, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Account and booking related records: generally up to 24 months after account closure or last activity, unless a longer legal retention period applies.
- Location linked to bookings or cleaner service areas: retained as part of booking/account records for the same period.
- Logs and diagnostics: generally up to 24 months.
6. Your Choices and Controls
- You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.
- You can update your selected address/location in the app before confirming a booking.
- You can request account data access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Children
The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
